## What it catches

- Known scam sites: public, community-kept lists of Discord phishing domains, pulled every 6 hours. Real sites like Discord, YouTube and Steam can never be blocked by a bad list entry.
- Scam messages: the wording these scams always use (a celebrity giveaway, free Nitro or Steam gift, a promo code and a bonus you can withdraw, "only the fastest") together with a link. Talking about MrBeast is fine; a MrBeast giveaway with a link is not.
- Scam servers: invites are followed to the server they lead to, so a fresh invite code to a known scam server is still caught.
- Common scam screenshots (free): VoidBox reads the text in posted pictures on its own server and catches the well-known ones, like the fake MrBeast crypto casino, "activate code for bonus" and fake "Withdrawal Success" screens.
- Every other scam picture (Premium): new scam templates, phishing QR codes and fake login pages are read by an AI vision model.

## What happens next

- The message is deleted.
- The sender is timed out for an hour by default, because an account posting scam links has almost always been stolen. You can choose delete only, kick or ban.

## Set it up

Nothing to do: it is on for every server. Change it under Moderation → Anti-scam in the dashboard. Staff are checked too, because a hacked moderator account does the most damage. The server owner is never timed out, and anyone above VoidBox's role just has the message deleted.
